Hometown: Cedar Rapids Major: Psychology Why I wanted to go on the trip: I love traveling out west and I wanted to see some awesome sights. Area of expertise: History of Aspen and Leadville Most enjoyable hike and why: Eagle Cap - the sights were the best there, it wasn't as crowded, and it wasn't as cold at night. Most beautiful sight of the trip: The hills around Aspen, Flaming Gorge, and the valley by our camp in the Collegiates. Funniest moment of the trip: Stringing up the bear at Molly Brown's church and Ben and his machete. The most important thing I learned about backpacking: I hate being cold - Raymond taught me to wear fewer layers in the mummy bag, and it worked. The most important thing I learned about myself: I hate being cold. Favorite thing about the van rides: Elaine and I finally won at trivia on the last day - it was the greatest day of the trip! Favorite overnight stay: Would I do it again and why: No, at least not in the near future. Anything else: I had a fabulous time getting to know everyone.
