Day 6: Thursday, July 30, 1998. Hike out of Olympic National Park, WA and drive to Poulsbo, WA.

Time to leave the coast. In all, I think the group really enjoyed this first hike. I think most of us could understand how Backpacker Magazine called it one of the "25 hikes in the world you'll never forget". The scenery was very unique and the constant sound of the tide coming in and out was very relaxing.

We camped at the edge of the trees, just feet away from the beach.

The views of the rainforest were an unbelievable contrast to that of the Pacific.

Our next night of camping was in Poulsbo, more specifically in the backyard of the Boxlight Corporation, thanks to relatives of Kristen.
