Day 23: Sunday, August 17, 1998. Drive from Kearney, NE to the University of Northern Iowa.

We left Kearney and Joe and headed for Iowa.  Then there were 11.  In Avoca we stopped, ate, and said goodbye to Diana and Amy.  Then there were 9.  Moving on to West Des Moines we dropped off Karen.  Then there were 8.  Rick, Lynne, Ben, Elaine, Kristen, Becky, Meg, and I made it all the way back to Cedar Falls where we unloaded the van and trailer, said our good-byes, and started the rest of our lives.   It was an experience we would never forget.
