Day 18: Tuesday, August 11, 1998. Hike into Missouri Basin, Collegiate Peaks Wilderness, CO.

Rick was sick.  Quite sick.  Lynne wasn't feeling too hot, either.  It was a pretty quiet that morning as we packed the van, and we hit the trail with some uncertainty.  It was slow but steady going, and we opted to set up camp after hiking about 5 miles, well short of our intended 9.  It all worked out alright in the end, even if it did take us an extra day to reach our intended campsite.
