Day 15: Saturday, August 8, 1998. Drive from Vernal, UT to day hike in Jones Hole, Dinosaur National Monument, CO, and drive to Rangely, CO.

Our second day hike brought us to the little-used north end of Dinosaur National Monument.  We didn't see any dinosaurs, but we did enjoy a hike through the bottom of a canyon and an area known as Jones Hole.  We saw a number of Indian pictographs and got plenty of time to just sit around and enjoy the scenery.  After the day hike we traveled to Rangely, Colorado, home of a nice little community college.  I think everybody enjoyed staying indoors, especially with luxuries like beds and television.
