Day 13: Thursday, August 6, 1998. Drive from Evanston, WY to Vernal, UT.

We were supposed to begin a three-day hike in the Uintas this day, but we had some members of the group who were feeling ill and many who were just tired. Rick suggested that we not do the three days, and just maybe do a day hike or two instead. Most all of the group happily agreed. In the meantime, we visited the Flaming Gorge Reservoir. We also took the self-tour of the Flaming Gorge Dam. The dam tour was fun, and we all enjoyed the dam elevator ride. We leaned over the dam fence and watched the dam fish. We had a dam good time.
