Day 11: Tuesday, August 4, 1998. Hike out of East Eagle Canyon, Eagle Cap Wilderness, OR, and drive to Caldwell, ID.

It may have been a long 7.5 miles into Eagle Cap, but it was a short 7.5 miles out. It took us less than 3 and a half hours. Rick went ahead and pulled the van up to the real trailhead and then we rode to Baker City where we showered at the YMCA pool and toured the town. From Baker City we drove to Caldwell, Idaho where we had dinner at Pizza Hut and stayed overnight at a church.
