New Condo Climbers
Welcome to three new climbers who will be
enjoying the high altitude with us in Colorado! The first two are Jonna and Eric
Higgins-Freese. Rick tells me that she is a former UNI Presidential Scholar and
he is a former Colocapper. Also joining our group is Gene Russell, long-time
friend of trip member Gerald Anglum. I'm looking forward to climbing with you
all! That brings our total number of climbers to 22. Rick has also informed me
that we have the second condo reserved, so we've got beds for a couple more.
Please get your $50 deposit to Rick if you haven't done so already!
Web Site
I had an opportunity to add to the condo climbing web
site. It has information about the "meaning of condo climbing", the
group, all of my previous emails to the group, and a few other interesting
items. Check it out at www.scholars.uni.edu/~johnson/condo.
"The One To Bag"
Rick and I have discussed it and it
sounds like Mt. Sherman may be our primary target for the fourteener that we
want to get everybody up. It's a pretty easy climb and, depending on road
conditions and our vehicles, we can start quite a way up the mountain. I'll try
to find some more detailed information about Mt. Sherman and add it to the web
site. So while you're out there enjoying the weather and getting fit, don't just
think fourteener - think Mt. Sherman!
